What?

I am not responsible, for what you hear. I am only responsible for what I mean, but what about the things I say.

I’m not sure that any of that is true, perhaps in a measure it is true. Have you ever wished that someone could actually listen is such a way, that they truly hear your heart, I have felt most of my life that I have been misunderstood. I believe that is because each of us here in a way, in which we can relate to what is being said. It is truly rare that a person catches your intent, but when it happens, it’s like someone actually heard you for the first time in your life.

It takes a person who is not-self absorbed, one that truly wants to know what it is you have to say. Not someone who feels they have something to say and can’t wait for you to stop so they can offer their two bits. I wonder is there a way to learn that or is an inherent trait that we are born with. No mater the level of education one has it seems that very few actually have ears to hear what another is actually saying.

Sometimes I hear the words that aren’t being spoken and am amazed how the meaning of there words are actually very deep and moving.

Miscommunication is actually a big problem, It is most apparent between husband and wife, or boyfriend and girlfriend, Or between best friends who find themselves competing against each other.

Learn to listen, hear the heart, find the intent. Not through your eyes in judgment, but through the eyes of the one you are listening to.

One Response to “What?”

  1. Such truth you speak, this actually gave me pause and I realize that I have been remiss in my own life. But reading what you wrote allowed my to taste your intent (as you say)
